On November 16 at 9:30 AM local time, the 2024 Tsinghua International Conference on Art &

Design Education (lCADE) opened in Milan, ltaly. The event is hosted by Tsinghua University and

co - organized by Academy of Arts & Design, Arts & Design Institute in Milan, and China - ltaly

Design Innovation Hub.

Themed "New Dimensions: lmagination Beyond the Horizon," the conference brought together

over 150 presidents, deans, and professors from over 50 international art and design schools and

institutions across 14 countries, as well as experts and scholars from various fields, During the

two - day event, participants will share experience, discuss current trends, and look to the future

together through six thematic forums, three round - table discussions and one international

students' work exhibition.

Qiu Yong, Secretary of the CPC Tsinghua University Committee, Liu Kan, Consul General of China

in Milan, and Professor Christoph Lindner, President of the Royal College of Art (UK) attended the

opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Giuliano Noci, Vice Rector of Politecnico di Milano,

gave a video address. The opening ceremony was presided over by Ma Sai, Dean of Academy of

Arts & Design, Tsinghua University.

Qiu Yong said, “Cultural and educational exchanges serve as an important
