As the digitalization of art and design education accelerates, we are
confronted with a critical challenge: how to cultivate students' digital
competencies while maintaining their sensitivity to physical, real-world
spaces. How can we properly select digital tools and devise pedagogical
approaches that that enable students to navigate through virtual
environments with ease, while gaining great insights into the physical
world and experiencing it — ultimately laying a solid foundation for future
design practices that seamlessly integrate the virtual and the real?
